Production Lead – Distillation Unit (West/Chemical industry)
Job Description
Our client, a leading global manufacturer and supplier of specialty chemical with international presence is currently inviting suitably candidate to join them for the role of a Production Lead (Distillation Unit).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operate, monitor and control batch manufacturing from DCS.
• Lead and manage all shift activities and communication.
• Perform filling operation and packing of finished products.
• Operate forklift for material handling of production materials.
• Perform preventive maintenance on Distillation Unit.
• Perform evaluation and provide assessment results for new distillation process materials.
• Work with process engineer to ensure capability of the process in producing the quantity and quality required.
• Perform maintenance & housekeeping to maintain safe and clean working environment.
• Develop and implement work procedures for one-time job request.
• Coordinate with Maintenance function to ensure equipment is maintained.
• Support continuous improvement activities.
• Participate in ESH programs and activities.
• Be available to respond to emergency production and safety issues. Investigate and submit report on accident/incident.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Diploma or higher NITEC qualification in Chemical Process Technology/Chemical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in chemical manufacturing environment.
• Familiar with the chemical manufacturing process, equipment, chemical handling, and emergency response.
• Proven Supervisory experiences – required to lead 6 employees.
• Require to wear safety Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
• Computer – Knowledge of MS software; data entry in ERP system.
• Communication Skills – will be required to face customers audits .
• Having forklift license will be advantageous .
OTHERS:
• Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shift {8.30AM – 8.30PM (Day), 8.30pm – 8.30am (Night)}
• Shift allowance and transport claims provided
• Transport provided at pick-up point: Boon Lay MRT
