Electrical & Instrumentation Technician (West/Chemical industry)
Job Description
Our client, a leading global manufacturer and supplier of specialty chemical with international presence is currently inviting suitably candidate to join them for the role of an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Troubleshoot/repair/maintenance/calibrate/install of plants, facilities electrical system and equipment
• Maintain, update and label of line diagram & label in the control panels/DB/MSB.
• Establish and manage the maintenance plan of electrical, instruments, calibration, interlock, emergency shutdown button.
• Require performing mechanical maintenance duties
• Coordinate and liaise with electrical contractor work schedule
• Perform housekeeping activities for the work area
• Any other tasks assigned by the Facilities Manager
REQUIREMENTS:
• Higher Nitec/ Diploma in engineering and/or equivalent discipline
• 2 – 5 years of experience in chemical manufacturing industry
• Have knowledge in thermal scanning and arc flash awareness
• Ability to read electrical schematics, manuals, SOP, ISO, PID and perform documentation.
• Require wearing minimum Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• A “can-do” attitude, proactive and able to work in a fast-paced environment independently and in teams
• Ability to follow all safety procedures and safely move in and through chemical environment work areas
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office & Teams
• LEW (Electrician grade) and knowledge in local electrical code will be advantageous
• Listens well to others, client-centric
OTHERS:
• 5 Days work week/ Working hours: 8.30am – 5.30pm
• Transport provided at pick-up point: Boon Lay MRT
